3 words describe my dinner on Friday night; EATS, BEATS and BOOZE.
B.Eat Street, Friday Food Fight takes place in the industrial, Great Northern Warehouse.
Go for pumping tunes, quirky cocktails (or a Great Northern Beer) and fast and furious street food.
Served in takeaway containers and eaten at trestle tables, the food, from a “rotating line-up of the best food venues and street food traders in the North”, is delicious and affordable.
I had Spring Rolls and Massaman curry from the wonderful Thaikhun, for the bargain price of £6.00.
It’s no frills, casual eating and drinking, where the focus is on quality food, and the tunes make you want to boogie.
It was a fun way to demonstrate to our Southern friend that it’s possible to have an alternative and, dare I say trendy, night outside of the capital.
